Week 15 NFL Power Rankings: Washington Redskins Close To Bottom

The Redskins lost again on Sunday, and are inching closer to the top picks of the NFL draft in April. Where do they rank in the SB Nation Power Rankings?

The fellas at SB Nation just came out with the Week 15 version of their 2011 NFL Power Rankings, and the Washington Redskins continue to rank among the worst teams in football. Their close loss to the Patriots was good enough to move them up one spot, but they still rank at just 27th.

Give Washington credit for keeping with the Patriots throughout the game even though they had nothing to play for. They're a quarterback away from being competitive in a very winnable division.

The Redskins will likely look to shore up that major weakness in the Draft this April, where they continue to get closer and closer to a really early first round pick, a year where there are many quarterbacks at the top of the list would be a good year to do it.

But the Redskins did show on SUnday against the Patriots that they do have a lot of the necessary pieces in place to be a productive team in the coming years, just as long as they can get that elite signal caller they so desperately need.
