The Maryland Terrapins rallied back from a 34-27 deficit at halftime to get a 65-61 victory over the Florida International Golden Panthers. FIU survived an early run by the Terps but then seemingly took control before halftime, going on a 13-4 run to close out the first half. In the second half however, the Terps were able to retake the lead.
Early on in the second half, FIU was able to hold the lead but eventually the Terps were able to go on a run and tie the game. After some fouls on FIU that saw the Terps sink their free throws, the Terps took and held onto the lead finishing off FIU, 65-61.
Guard Terrell Stoglin lead the Terps in scoring with 20 points, scoring eleven of those on the free throw line. Ashton Pankey added another 13 points and 6 rebounds while Sean Mosley adding another 12 points. For FIU, guard Phil Taylor led the way with 20 points while guard Jeremy Allen added another 18 points in the loss.
