Georgetown Vs. Louisville: Can Georgetown Be The First To Beat Louisville?

Georgetown will face undefeated Louisville in the Big East Conference opener for both teams, Can the Hoyas pull off the upset?

In what was considered to be a rebuilding year heading into the season, the Georgetown Hoyas have surprised many in College basketball by putting together a 10-1 record so far this year and an impressive #12 ranking in the Poll. They've had some big wins this year, but their biggest game of the year so far will come on Wednesday night when they face the fourth ranked and undefeated Louisville Cardinals. How's that for a Conference Opener?

Louisville hasn't been tested thoroughly throughout the year, with their most impressive win coming at home against then No. 19 Vanderbilt. But they have a common opponent with the Hoyas in the Memphis Tigers. The Cardinals beat them 95-87 a few weeks ago while, as you know, the Hoyas have beat them twice this year. Right now the Cardinals have been made a six point favorite.

We'll have plenty more on this game throughout the day in this StoryStream, but for more on all things Georgetown basketball please head over to Casual Hoya. And for some perspective from the other side, you can check SB Nation's Louisville blog Card Chronicle.
