FCS Playoffs 2011, North Dakota State Vs. James Madison Second Round Preview: Dukes Look To Continue Tournament Run In Fargo

James Madison (9-4) travels to North Dakota State on Saturday afternoon, looking to advance to the quarterfinals with a win over the number two seeded Bison.

The James Madison Dukes travel to Fargo, North Dakota on Saturday for a second round FCS matchup with the North Dakota State Bison. The Dukes are 9-4, and coming off a first round road playoff win over Eastern Kentucky. In that game, JMU erased a ten point fourth quarter deficit to win with a field goal as time expired.

Expect the Dukes to once again try and keep it low scoring by pounding away on the ground. JMU rushed the ball an amazing 68 times in its round one matchup, featuring three productive rushers in Dae'Quan Scott, Jordan Anderson, and quarterback Justin Thorpe.

The Bison are 10-1 and are the number two seeded team in the tournament. NDSU relies on their defense, which is ranked second in the FCS in scoring defense. They have lost only two games at home over the last two seasons. It's the first meeting between these two schools, with kickoff scheduled for 4:05 PM. The broadcast can be found on ESPN3.
