The weigh-in results for Saturday's Khan vs. Peterson fight at the D.C. Convention Center are officially in. Both fighters ended up making the 140-pound weight. IBF and WBA light welterweight Amir Khan weighed in at 139 pounds, while top challenger Lamont Peterson weighed in at 140 pounds. The weigh-ins were announced at a press event on Friday.
The results were ultimately a formality, but at least now the fight can continue as scheduled. Khan has said he will move up weight classes if he defeats Peterson, since he believes there are no other challengers at 140 pounds.
The co-main event is a heavyweight bout between D.C.'s own Seth Mitchell and Timur Ibragimov. Mitchell weighed in at 240 pounds, while Ibragimov was in at 221 pounds. Here are the full weigh-in results, via MMA Nation:
Amir Khan 139lbs vs. Lamont Peterson 140lbs
Seth Mitchell 240.4lbs vs. Timur Ibragimov 221lbs
The undercard bout weigh-ins have not been completed.
