Georgetown Vs. Syracuse: Riding Six-Game Winning Streak, Hoyas Take On Rival Orange

The Georgetown Hoyas are on a hot streak, with six wins in a row to propel them back to near the top of the AP Top 25 poll. This is just in time for them to square off against their big rivals in the Big East. Tonight, the No. 11 Hoyas travel to the Carrier Dome to take on No. 12 Syracuse in a key Big East showdown.

Syracuse is once again strong under coach Jim Boeheim. Like Georgetown, they had a stretch where they were struggling. They lost four in a row in the middle of Big East play, including a shocking 90-68 home loss to lowly Seton Hall. However, they have righted the ship, defeating Connecticut in Connecticut and routing South Florida.

The Hoyas have traditionally played poorly up at the Carrier Dome, so this is a big game for them to eliminate their demons. It's also a big test for their much-maligned front line, as they have to go up against Orange big man Rick Jackson

The game will begin at 7 p.m. and will be broadcasted on ESPN.
