TV Sports Schedule, 3/1: Islanders-Capitals

If you didn't have any plans for tonight before you started reading this sentence, now you do. Here are the best sports on television tonight, and where and when you can watch them. All times Eastern. Follow the links to learn more about each of the teams listed below. Let's get right into it.

↵

NHL Hockey:

↵

Islanders vs. Capitals, 7, CSN: The Capitals' first game after the trade deadline, and they have a lot of new players to assimilate into their lineup. I'm not sure how much the new guys - Jason Arnott, Marco Sturm and Dennis Wideman - will play (if at all), but it should be our first opportunity to see them in a Capitals sweater. Too early for nicknames? How about the "Storm," the "Wide Man" and "Ar-not your average hockey player." I'm no good at this.

↵

Premier League:

↵

Chelsea vs. Manchester United, 2:45, FSC: Chelsea have been a little bit of a disappointment this year after winning the Premier League title last year, while Manchester United currently sits at the top of the table. This is a huge matchup of two of the best and most recognizable soccer teams in the World. Blue Vs. Red. Like Crips vs. Bloods, but with a lot more flopping, I'd imagine.

↵

NBA Basketball:

↵

Knicks vs. Magic, 7, NBATV: The Knicks got a huge win over the Heat on Sunday, and now people are starting to call them a championship contender. Now, they have to go against a big man in Dwight Howard that they probably have no way to defend. But then again, that's what I thought about them defending LeBron James, so I guess we'll see.
