2011 ACC Tournament VIDEO: Derwin Kitchen's Buzzer Beater Ending To Virginia Tech Vs. Florida State

Friday was a wild day in Greensboro for the second round of the 2011 ACC Tournament. The day ended the same way as it started. But different. A buzzer beater from Tyler Zeller helped the North Carolina Tar Heels beat the Miami Hurricanes in the day's opening game, but a buzzer beater from Derwin Kitchen of the Florida State Seminoles came just a split second too late to defeat the Virginia Tech Hokies.

The range of emotion in a matter of mere minutes is demonstrated quite well in this video. The Florida State players go from celebrating in the corner to looking stunned when the decision is announced. Meanwhile on the Virginia Tech side, the players collectively place their hands on their heads, staring up either for answers from above, or at the scoreboard to see if Kitchen's shot left his fingertips in time. It didn't. And moments later we see Coach Seth Greenberg hugging his cheerleader daughter as they both cry.
