Maryland basketball season just ended, so this isn't a great time to be a Terps fan. But we have some good news, relatively speaking, that might brighten your day. First, new football jerseys
are definitely happening, and secondly, that Maryland wants to build a relationship with Under Armour like the one Oregon has with Nike.
According to Jeff Barker of the Baltimore Sun, Maryland AD Kevin Anderson wants to start building a "Maryland brand."
↵↵↵"Under Armour has helped us come up with new images to highlight the State of Maryland and the university," athletic director Kevin Anderson said Monday. "I truly believe that when we come out with a Maryland brand, it will be second to none. It will directly compete with Nike and what Nike does for Oregon."

This might not seem like a big deal, and initially it won't really be one; but in a few years this could be a big development for the football team. Oregon is one of the most recognizable programs in the country, and like it or not, that has to help them with recruiting. Building a brand at Maryland shouldn't be any harder than it was at Oregon, and it could mean big things for the football team down the road
