NCAA Bracket Update: Georgetown Takes On VCU In Second-Round Game

The second day of the second round of the 2011 NCAA Tournament is under way, and one of the late games features two local teams going head-to-head. No. 6 seed Georgetown will face 11th seed VCU at 9:50 Friday after the Rams beat USC in their first round game on Wednesday. The game can be seen on TNT.

VCU was a controversial inclusion in the NCAA field, but it might have made some new fans with its win over the Trojans. But it only shot 33.9 percent from the field, and it will have to improve on that if it wants to have a chance against the Hoyas.

Georgetown is kind of limping into this game, coming off a pretty poor showing against UConn more than a week ago. But it will have point guard Chris Wright back in the lineup tonight, and that should help the Hoyas out significantly.

We'll be updating this StoryStream with relevant updates and scores from this game as they happen.
