Warriors Vs. Wizards: John Wall, Monta Ellis Square Off in Washington

At long last, a winnable game for the Wizards. The Wizards have lost six consecutive games, falling most recently to a trio of title contenders, Miami, Dallas and Chicago. Tonight they face off vs. the Warriors, who themselves are losers of four straight.

The Wizards have yet to win after the All-Star break, and regressed against the Bulls, getting blown out 105-77, this after competing with the Heat and Mavericks. A loss to Golden State at home would send John Wall and co. tumbling further in the wrong direction as the season skids toward its end.

Washington will be without coach Flip Saunders tonight, who left the team to tend to a family emergency involving his mother, as reported by Marc J. Spears. Assistant coach Randy Wittman will coach the team against Monta Ellis, Stephen Curry and the Warriors.

Also of note -- the Warriors are one team that has reportedly expressed interest in forward Al Thornton, who's contract the Wizards recently bought out.

Tonight we could see the first Wizards win since the All-Star break. But if it gets ugly, you could always read my Ode to Mike Bibby from earlier this morning. That aside, next time you're at the mall, guys -- look for Rashard Lewis. He will answer all life's questions.
