The Kansas Jayhwaks have come out swinging, letting the Cinderella Richmond Spiders, and rest of the tournament field, know they have every intention of cutting down the nets in Houston Monday night, April 4.
Kansas has absolutely dominated the first half, and even the 19 point lead might be decieving. Kansas has held Richmond to 29 percent shooting, while making 52 percent of their shots from the floor. The Jayhawks have out "helpered" the Spiders as well, assisting on 12 of their buckets to just four assists for Richmond (against seven turnovers for the normally stingy Spiders).
Brady Morningstar has led Kansas with 12 points on five of seven shooting from the floor. Marcus Morris has chipped in eight points and seven rebounds, and Josh Shelby has contributed six points off the bench.
If Richmond is to have any hope in the second half, seniors Justin Harper and Kevin Anderson must carry the load for Chris Mooney's team.
