Wizards Vs. Jazz: John Wall, Washington Get Last Chance For Win On West Coast Trip

This has not been a pleasant road trip for the Wizards, who play vs. the Jazz tonight with one last chance to secure a win on this five-game swing out West. Fortunately, the Washington has been so bad on the road this season that a win against Utah -- itself a loser of five straight games -- would make this a successful trip.

Of course, getting that win won't be easy. Nick Young is back on the shelf, re-joining teammates Andray Blatche, Josh Howard and Rashard Lewis. Michael Lee reports on Twitter that Trevor Booker will try to go tonight, which would give the Wizards another active body to battle the Jazz up front.

Washington will also need a better effort than it got against Golden State from backcourt duo John Wall and Jordan Crawford. Wall had 18 points and Crawford 11, but the pair shot a combined 10 for 37 from the field. They did also combine for 19 assists compared to just six turnovers, so that was helpful.

As will now become customary to mention, the Wizards are still on track to match the 1990-91 Kings, who are the only team to win just one road game in a season. The good news is that this game might somehow be an even more meaningless for Utah, which has had its own terribly bizarre season -- going from contender to turmoil to trading its best player and free-falling out of the playoffs.

There are 10 games left in the NBA season for the Wizards. This is one of them. Let's watch it together, and then talk about it.
