Capitals Vs. Rangers, 2011 NHL Playoffs Game 1: Washington Looks For Series Lead

The 2011 NHL Playoffs series between the No. 1 seed Washington Capitals and No. 8 seed New York Rangers will get underway Wednesday. Game 1 will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Verizon Center and will be televised on Versus and Comcast Sports Net, according to the 2011 NHL Playoffs schedule.

The Capitals will be looking to shake off the demons from the past two years, while the Rangers are hoping goalie Henrik Lundqvist can steal the series like he nearly did in 2009. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday night, while Game 3 will take place Sunday afternoon.
