Brewers Vs. Nationals: Game Two Cancelled, Nats Prepare For Doubleheader Sunday

Game two of a three-game series between the Washington Nationals and Milwaukee Brewers has been cancelled due to rain and storms moving through the D.C. area throughout the day. The Nats will now prepare for the first doubleheader of the season on Sunday starting at 1:35 P.M. EST, with the second game starting 30 minutes at the conclusion of the first. For those with tickets, it will be a one-admission doubleheader.

The Nationals are coming off a 4-3 extra-innings Friday night win against the Brewers where Nats starter Tom Gorzelanny went six innings, giving up two earned runs. The Nationals offense scored three runs without a hit with runners in scoring position. The Nats won the game in the 10th inning off an Adam LaRoche walk-off fielder's choice.

If Saturday's game was on, the Nationals would have gone to battle with this lineup:

Nationals Lineup

Danny Espinosa - 2B

Rick Ankiel - CF

Jayson Werth - RF

Adam LaRoche - 1B

Michael Morse - LF

Ian Desmond - SS

Ivan Rodriguez - C

Alex Cora - 3B

Jason Marquis - SP

Sunday's games will keep pitchers for both teams on schedule. The Nationals will have Marquis on the mound for the first game and pitcher Livan Hernandez will toe the rubber for the nightcap.
