Giants Vs. Nationals: Washington Looks To Solve Tim Lincecum

The Washington Nationals' offense hasn't been all that great this season, and Friday night offers them no favors. The World Series champion San Francisco Giants stroll into Nationals Park, and it will be ace Tim Lincecum on the mound hoping to continue the Nationals' struggles.

Lincecum hasn't been dominant at all times this year, but he still has been pretty good. He is currently 2-2 on the year, with a 2.70 ERA and 38 strikeouts. Those are pretty outstanding numbers once you strip away the wins. He's been victimized by poor run support at times, which has hurt him. However, he has also won his last three road starts.

Jason Marquis will take the hill for the Nationals to oppose Lincecum, looking to continue his solid start. Marquis is 2-0 with a 3.55 ERA this season, which is a massive improvement over last year.

The game will be televised at 7 p.m. on MASN. Here is the Nationals' lineup:

  1. Danny Espinosa, 2B
  2. Rick Ankiel, CF
  3. Jayson Werth, RF
  4. Adam LaRoche, 1B
  5. Wilson Ramos, C
  6. Laynce Nix, LF
  7. Ian Desmond, SS
  8. Jerry Hairston Jr., 3B
  9. Jason Marquis, P
