What would a big time horse race be without pomp, circumstance...and celebrities, possibly wearing big hats? The 2011 Preakness has announced hometown gal Stacy Keibler will again host the InfieldFest at this year's Preakness (she hosted the event in 2009 as well). I have failed to get to Pimlico over the years for the race, so I was curious what exactly Ms. Keibler was hosting.
Preakness InfieldFest 2011, is a multi-entertainment festival that will include performances by national talent Grammy Winners Bruno Mars Train and Hotspur on the main stage in the public Infield on Saturday, May 21 at Pimlico Race Course.
The Beer Garden Jägermeister Stage will also feature concerts by Mr Greengenes, Phil Vassar and Puddle of Mudd.
Allrighty then. Booze and bands, and then some sort of horse race in the early evening when you're half in the bag. No wonder everyone loves the Preakness so much.
The 2011 Preakness Stakes will also continue it's celebrity chef experience, which began last year with the spotlighting of the Voltaggio brothers of Top Chef fame hosting cooking demonstrations and tastings. This year Mike Isabella, also know for his Top Chef appearances, will be the featured chef. Isabella was the executive chef at Washington D.C.'s Zaytinia for the last three years.
