TV Schedule, May 15: Marlins Vs. Nationals, NBA Playoffs, NHL Playoffs

Sunday's slate offers a healthy dose of hometown baseball, NHL playoff action and highly anticipated NBA playoff match-ups. The fun begins at Nationals Park at 1:35 p.m.:

Florida Marlins vs. Washington Nationals: The Nats look to salvage a game in this weekend tilt with the Marlins. Two seasoned veterans take the hill, as Jason Marquis of the Nationals will face off against Javier Vasquez of the Marlins. (1:35 p.m., MASN2)

NBA Playoffs

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, Western Conference Semifinals, Game 7: Can the eighth seeded Grizzlies pull off the improbable and make the Western Conference Finals? Or will Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook get to shine in a matchup with Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks. I know folks are fired up for the matchup listed below this blurb, but personally, I couldn't be more fired up about this Thunder/Grizz battle. I hope Marc Gasol keeps making ridiculous faces. (3:30 p.m., ABC)

Miami Heat vs. Chicago Bulls, Eastern Conference Finals, Game 1: Well, here we go. The #1 seed in the East vs. the #2 seed. Derrick Rose, MVP. LeBron James, most polarizing NBA figure in over a decade. Dwyane Wade, often dresses like Urklel but closes like Rivera. And no, that ex-Raptor isn't getting a mention here. (8:00 p.m., TNT)

NHL Playoffs

Vancouver Canucks vs. San Jose Sharks, Western Conference Final, Game 1: Two perennial playoff underachievers face off with a trip to the Stanley Cup Final on the line. Vancouver has made two finals in the last 40 years, while San Jose is looking for their first shot at winning Lord Stanley's Cup. The Sharks are led by Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton, while Vancouver's dynamic duo just happen to also be twins (Daniel and Henrik Sedin) giving them a nice "80s movie villain" feel. (8:00 p.m., Versus)
