Pirates Vs. Nationals Game Postponed Due To Rain

A Tuesday afternoon game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals has been postponed due to rain. It is not yet clear when it will be made up.

The two teams were scheduled to play at 1:05 p.m. at Nationals Park in the final game of a brief two-game series. Jordan Zimmermann was scheduled to pitch for the Nationals against Charlie Morton. The Nationals won the first game of the series, 4-2, on Monday night, with Danny Espinosa's home run being the difference.

This is the fourth time a Nationals game has been postponed due to rain this season. The Pirates and Nationals already had one of their games rained out on April 22. It remains unclear when the game would be made up, since the Nationals immediately begin a two-game series against the New York Mets on the road starting on Wednesday. The Nationals' next day off is Thursday, May 26, and the Pirates also have off then.
