The 2011 Preakness Stakes post positions were just announced by Pimlico Race Horse officials, and Animal Kingdom's owners have to feel pretty decent about where their horse ended up. The Kentucky Derby winner will race from the 11 post on Saturday. Animal Kingdom raced from the No. 16 post at the Derby, which is obviously not a possibility since only 14 horses race at the Preakness. However, it's it's yet another chance for it take down a race from an outside position
Kentucky Derby favorite Dialed In will race from the No. 10 slot, while third-place Derby finisher Mucho Macho Man will race in the No. 9 slot. Midnight Interlude and Dance City will be in the two middle slots. Here is the complete order.
