Nationals Vs. Mets: Tom Gorzelanny Looks To Extend Washington's Win Streak

The Washington Nationals travel to Citi Field to take on the New York Mets at 7:10 p.m., one day after rain, or the lack thereof, canceled the second game of a two-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Rain also may be in the forecast for Wednesday night's game, so stay tuned.

If the two teams do get the game in, the Nationals will send Tom Gorzelanny to the hill against Jon Niese. Jordan Zimmermann was scheduled to start on Tuesday, but the Nationals have a strict innings limit on him in his first full year back from Tommy John surgery and have elected to skip his spot in the rotation.

Here is the Nationals' lineup.

  1. Roger Bernadina: CF
  2. Ian Desmond: SS
  3. Jayson Werth: RF
  4. Wilson Ramos: C
  5. Adam LaRoche: 1B
  6. Michael Morse: LF
  7. Danny Espinosa: 2B
  8. Jerry Hairston Jr. :3B
  9. Tom Gorzelanny: P
