Nationals Vs. Mets: Nats Try To Bounce Back From Shutout In Afternoon Tilt

The Washington Nationals will try to get their offense back on track when they face the New York Mets at Citi Field in a game that starts at 1 p.m. and can be seen on MASN.

The story of this game, as it has been for the past few games it seems, will be the weather. The forecast shows rain again this afternoon. But based on what we saw at the end of the game last night, the stadium officials are, let's just say hesitant, to call a game. They are sort of like the opposite of the Nationals in that way.

The Nats will send old reliable Livan Hernandez to the mound this afternoon. He's the only guy I think won't have any trouble with the rain, because it doesn't seem like he lets that kind of stuff affect him. His counterpart will be Dillon Gee, whom the Nats have only faced one time before. That was his major league debut last September when he allowed just two hits over seven innings. Hopefully they have a little bit more film on him this time.

We'll be following this game in this stream, but you can head over to Federal Baseball for more information on the Nationals.
