Preakness Stakes 2011: Full Video Of Shackleford's Win And Preparation

Miss the 2011 Preakness Stakes? Turn off your TV because you were tired of the really, really, really, really unnecessarily long build-up to a two-minute race. Don't worry, because here's the entire race for you. Now, you just watched Shackleford emerge as the winner of the 2011 Preakness Stakes, holding off a late charge from Animal Kingdom and ensuring there would be no Triple Crown winner for the 33rd consecutive year.

The nice thing about this video is that it shows the buildup to the actual race, where you can see Shackleford being flustered. It began on the walk over, and it continued as it was loaded into the gate. The television commentators were speculating that this was the worst possible news for Shackleford backers and showed the horse wasn't paying attention. Guess this means we probably shouldn't try to read too much into the body language of a horse.
