VIDEO: Grant Catalino's Goal To Give Maryland Lacrosse Win Over Syracuse

When Maryland's men's lacrosse team entered the 2011 NCAA Lacrosse Tournament as an unseeded team, it certainly added a chip on their shoulder. That chip has taken them all the way to the Final Four after the Terps stunned top-seeded Syracuse, 6-5, in sudden death.

This is the goal that won it for the Terps. Naturally, it came thanks to seniors Ryan Young and Grant Catalino. Young drifted behind the net and fed Catalino for a beautiful underhand shot into the top left corner of the net. It was a game-winning goal as sweet as you could think of for both players, especially Young, who tragically lost his mother earlier this season.

And so, the dream remains alive. It seems hard to believe, but Maryland hasn't been this far since 2006. The program let coach Dave Cottle go after last season, mostly because of postseason disappointment. Now, under new coach John Tillman, the Terps are back.
