The Washington Nationals lost Tuesday night's game to the Milwaukee Brewers in disappointing fashion, blowing a 6-2 lead thanks to a two-run single in the eighth inning. It was their fourth loss in a row and sixth in the past seven games. On Wednesday, they will try to salvage one game in the series in an afternoon tilt at Miller Park.
In a touch of irony, the Nationals will be going up against Zack Greinke. You may remember how the Nationals and Kansas City Royals agreed to a trade that would have sent the Brewers' ace to Washington D.C., but Greinke used his no-trade clause to veto the trade because he felt the Nationals weren't close to contending. Soon thereafter, Greinke approved a trade to the Brewers. He spent the first month of the season injured and is slowly working his way back towards stardom.
Jason Marquis will oppose Greinke on the mound, as he looks to bounce back from a strange outing last Friday. Marquis was taken out of the game against the Orioles after four innings, which led to a verbal confrontation between him and Jim Riggleman.
Laynce Nix will return to the Nationals' lineup after getting the night off on Tuesday, while Ivan Rodriguez will start for Wilson Ramos. Here is the complete lineup.
