Those wondering why there are never any UFC events in Washington D.C. can wonder no more. The UFC has just announced the stops on its summer "UFC Octagon Nation Tour, and one of the stops is Washington D.C on June 20, according to a UFC press release.
↵It is still unclear what exact location the tour will stop in D.C., as well as the fighters that will be participating. The tour will make a stop in Waldorf, MD at Willie Nelson's Country Throwdown Tour on June 18, and it will continue to Baltimore on June 21.
↵The tour is essentially an 18-wheeler truck and two Octagon-sized tents that will provide the "ultimate fan experience," according to the release. "Surprise" fighters will be making appearances on each stop of the 18-stop tour, which begins Thursday in Las Vegas and concludes on June 30 back in Las Vegas.
