The 2011 Kentucky Derby, which is easily the biggest horse racing event of the year, is set to take place on Saturday. The 137th edition of the event promises to be one of its best, as a new crop of three-year olds take the racetrack at Churchill Downs looking to begin their race to the Triple Crown. The winner of this race will immediately be one of the favorites to win the Preakness Stakes in Pimlico in two weeks.

Post time: The post time for the 2011 Kentucky Derby is currently scheduled for 6:24 p.m. Of course, that is subject to change.
