The hometown nine wrap up an eleven game road trip out west, looking to finish a respectable 6-5. A local baseball team looks to make the college world series. And, oh yeah, there's some sort of NBA game on tonight, hadn't heard much about it lately...
Washington Nationals vs. San Diego Padres: If I had to take a guess, the final score of today's Nationals/Padres game will be 2-1. Washington won Friday and Saturday by that score, and in fact four of the six meetings between the two clubs this year have ended in 2-1 finals. Let's just say neither of these teams will ever be confused with the 1927 Yankees. (MASN2, 4:05 P.M.)
University of Virginia Cavaliers vs. UC Irvine Anteaters: Virginia took care of business Saturday, defeating UC Irvine 6-0. A win in Sunday's Game 2 of the Charlottesville Super Regional sends the Cavaliers back to Omaha and the College World Series for the second time in three years. (ESPNU, 1:00 P.M.)
Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat, Game 6: Honestly, I have no idea what to add here other than the time of the game. If I hear any more Dr. Jack-style breakdowns of Cough-gate, or Rashard-gate, I might shoot out my TV as an homage to the Real King (yep, couldn't resist an unwarranted shot at LeBron). I'm not even a huge NBA fan, but I am pumped up at 11:00 A.M. for a game that tips nine hours from now. (ABC, 8:00 P.M.)
