President Obama To Host 2010 BCS National Champion Auburn Tigers Wednesday Afternoon

If Americans haven't realized it yet, our current president is a huge sports fan, and will once again invite a championship winning team to the White House, this time the Cam Newton-led 2010 Auburn Tigers. Lynn Sweet, the Washington Bureau Chief for the Chicago Sun Times, posts President Obama's schedule each week, and it was here I found the Auburn nugget among many more important domestic and international matters:

In the afternoon, the President will welcome Auburn University's football team to the White House to honor the team's 2010 BCS National Championship. This visit will also continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to communities as well as for winning championships. As part of their visit to the White House, the Auburn Tigers will meet with local Washington, D.C. area students.

Two questions: will a D.C fourth grader grill Gene Chizik over NewtonGate? And will Cecil Newton stand at the gates of the White House like a typical DC tourist while his son throws out patterns to the President?
