The Washington Capitals' prospects played their second scrimmage at Development Camp on Thursday morning, and this time, Team White got its revenge, winning in a shootout, 4-3, to tie the series at one. The game was tied at three before the shootout, and Garrett Mitchell had the only goal in the shootout.
Travis Boyd continued to star for the red team, scoring two goals to bring his total for the camp to three goals and two assists. David Civitarese, Danick Paquette and Mitchell scored the goals for the white team, while Reid Edmondson scored the other goal for the white team.
Bruce Boudreau was especially praiseworthy of Boyd. Via Sky Kerstein of 106.7 The Fan:
Bruce Boudreau said afterwards on Boyd, "...there's some guys that are really opening eyes to the scouts and management."
There will be two more practices Friday as the players prepare for Saturday's scrimmage and FanFest.
