Nationals Vs. Dodgers: John Lannan Takes Over For Nationals Against Dodgers In West Coast Battle

After dropping a series to the worst team in baseball and then enjoying an off day, the Washington Nationals will be getting back to work on Friday night on the West Coast against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Pitchers John Lannan (6-6, 3.62 ERA) and Hiroki Kuroda (6-11, 3.13 ERA) will go head-to-head to see if they can improve their respective team's fortunes.

Lannan will be facing the NL West's cellar dwellers in the Dodgers, but that means little when it comes to the Nationals as they just dropped a series to the Houston Astros who have the worst record in baseball. Lannan has an ERA of 4.36 ERA after an extra day's rest, but he is also coming off a strong start against the powerhouse Atlanta Braves where he went 5 2/3 innings and allowed two runs on five hits.

It will be a late Friday night game for East Coast Nationals fans. First pitch is at 10:10 P.M. EST.
