NFL Free Agents 2011: Reviewing Players Redskins Could Target This Offseason

With the NFL Lockout approaching its end and the rules for the 2011 NFL free agency period all but finalized, the Washington Redskins find themselves in the unique position of having a significant amount of room under the salary cap to maneuver. By eliminating several expensive contracts from their roster the past few years, such as Clinton Portis and Randy Thomas, the Redskins will have the rare opportunity to add a handful of new players to the roster in 2011. As Mike Shanahan to rebuilding the Redskins' roster, this additional salary cap space will give his team the room necessary to acquire several free agents.

Will the Redskins target the biggest names on the market like Nnamdi Asomugha and Santonio Holmes? Or will they stick to last year's strategy of acquiring only budget-friendly role players? We shall soon see.
