ACC Kickoff 2011 Begins Sunday, Danny O'Brien, Kenny Tate Represent Maryland Football

It may not be the circus that SEC media day is, but the 2011 ACC Kickoff is set to begin on Sunday in Pinehurst, North Carolina, unofficially ushering in the beginning of the 2011 college football season. Commissioner John Swofford and a number of players will speak on Sunday, while the coaches for the 12 ACC teams will talk on Monday.

Maryland football will be represented by new coach Randy Edsall, quarterback Danny O'Brien and linebacker/safety Kenny Tate. O'Brien and Tate will speak Sunday. They are the leaders of the teams' offense and defense, respectively, so it is no surprise that they will be representing the Terps.

Edsall is likely to be one of the major people at the event, because he is a new coach. He will undoubtedly receive many questions about how he plans to take the program from good to great, as athletic director Kevin Anderson likes to say.
