Fans of the Washington Redskins are most likely pretty happy with their team's play in the first half of their preseason opener, at least on the offensive side of the ball. Washington and Pittsburgh are tied 7-7 going into halftime, and Rex Grossman has been efficient and effective in leading Kyle Shanahan's offense. Grossman, who has spent the last week taking major media flak for confident comments he made about his team's chances in the NFC East this seaosn, looked extremely impressive in his 2011 debut, completeing 13 of 19 passes for 151 yards and one touchdown, an eight yard pass to veteran wide receiver Santana Moss.
The offensive highlight of the half was the second quarter drive on which Grossman found Moss, in which the Skins covered 82 yards on just eight plays in three minutes and 51 seconds.
