Sure, it might only be the preseason, but for the second week in a run the Washington Redskins have looked like a far improved football team on the field, this week leading the Indianapolis Colts 10-0 after the first quarter of play. Behind the Shanahan's chosen son, John Beck, the Redskins wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard, driving 80 yards in under three minutes to put up seven quick points. The highlight of the six play drive was a 58 yard run by running back Tim Hightower, who once again is making a strong case to be Washington's lead back when the regular season begins.
Hightower finished the quarter with six carries for 70 yards and the touchdown, showing burst and explosion out of the backfield. Beck, getting the start this week after missing the Steelers game due to injury, is seven for nine for 73 yards, leading the Skins on two scoring drives.
Graham Gano continued his perfect preseason, kicking a 28 yard field goal after an almost seven minute, 13 play drive stalled at the Colts' ten yard line.
