Just when it looked like LaRon Landry would return to the field, he has been ruled out of Thursday's preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Redskins' safety has been battling an Achilles injury dating back to last season.

It's not clear whether Landry's absence is due to the Achilles injury or due to a hamstring injury he suffered that kept him out of practice on Sunday. Either way, his absence this late in the preseason is certainly troubling, especially after the breakout season he was having last year before the Achilles injury took place.
