A couple notes:

  • The January 8 game against North Carolina State will be Maryland's first true road game of the season. The Terps will play on a neutral court in the Puerto Rico Classic and will play at the Verizon Center in the BB&T Classic against Notre Dame, but all other games to that point are home games.
  • The first half of the ACC slate is pretty home-heavy, with five of eight games being played in Comcast Center.
  • The January 25 game at home against Duke is also the first day of classes for the second semester.
  • The games against Duke and North Carolina will each be on ESPN or ESPN2. No other games are, as they are on a various number of other networks.

Opponent breakdown:

  • Home and Away: Georgia Tech, Duke, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia.
  • Home only: Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Boston College.
  • Away only: North Carolina State, Florida State, Clemson.
