Nationals Vs. Rockies Score: Nationals Dominant Over Rockies 4-0

The Washington Nationals have been in near complete control of Friday night's game against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. The Nationals have been dominant on both sides of the ball which has given them a 4-0 in the sixth inning.

Third baseman Ryan Zimmerman is now on a 14-game hitting streak after hitting a two-run triple in the first inning which gave the Nats an early 2-0 lead over pitcher Juan Nicasio. In the fourth inning, after a double hit by pitcher Jordan Zimmermann, Nationals center fielder Rick Ankiel cashed in Zimmermann with a RBI single. Michael Morse put the Nats up 4-0 in the top of the fifth with his 19th home run of the season.

Zimmermann has been superb pitching five innings giving up no runs, only two hits, walking two and striking out seven. The Nationals have been putting the hitting behind Zimmermann by collecting 11 hits.

Colorado's Nicasio had to leave the game in the second inning after getting hit on the head with a line drive from Ian Desmond. Nicasio was knocked out on contact, but was conscious as he was carted off the field and taken to the hospital.
