TV Sports Schedule, August 6: Nationals Vs. Rockies, Toronto FC Vs. D.C. United, 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductions

If you thought your TV-watching landscape was barren tonight, think again. There is baseball, soccer and a Hall of Fame ceremony to catch. Enough words, here we go...

Washington Nationals vs. Colorado Rockies: After a 5-3 win Friday evening, the Nationals will take the field in Denver Saturday night looking to win consecutive games at Coors Field for the first time in three years. Livan Hernandez (6-10, 4.08 ERA) takes the hill for Washington, and shortstop Ian Desmond, he of the four hits Friday night, will look to remain hot. Desmond is 10 for 26 in his last seven games, good for a .385 average. (MASN2, 8:10 P.M.)

Toronto FC vs. D.C. United: It's a stat that is amazing to me, but maybe that's just because I'm not a huge MLS fan. If DCU (6-6-8) to were win tonight, it would be their first back-to-back victories in 66 MLS games, a streak dating back to June of 2009. This seems to be the time to break such a streak, as the Toronto club is a woeful 0-7-5 on the road this season. (CSNWashington, 7:30 P.M.)

2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony: Legendary Redskins linebacker Chris "The Hangman" Hanburger will become the fifth Washington player to be introduced at Canton in the last four years, joining Darrell Green and Art Monk in 2008, Bruce Smith in 2009 (I know, barely a Skin) and Russ Grimm in 2010. (NFL Network, 7:00 P.M.)
