Former Washington Redskins defensive end Andre Carter will once again have to play with Albert Haynesworth. This time, though, he'll at least do so on a winning team. Carter announced on his Twitter account that he has signed with the New England Patriots, where he will team with Haynesworth to make an impact on passing downs.
I am proud to announce that I will be playing for the New England Patriots for the 2011 season. Thanks you for your prayers and support.
The 32-year old Carter had a career year in 2009, but struggled last year to adjust to the Redskins' 3-4 scheme. He lost his starting job and was released prior to the beginning of the NFL lockout.
