One of the participants in the Redskins open quarterback competition, John Beck, was limited on Mondayin practice, according to Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan.
Shanahan: Cooley is making strides. Beck was held out of team drills because you can't control them. #Redskins
Beck suffered a groin injury during the team's Fan Appreciation Day Saturday, running out of bounds on a scramble before feeling some tightness.
With Beck out, Grossman has taken most if not all of the first team snaps in practice, which bodes well for him potentially having the inside track on the starting job.
It is unknown how long Beck will be out, or if he will be able to play in this Friday's preseason opener versus the Steelers.
