Washington Redskins Training Camp: Malcolm Kelly Injury To Sideline Wide Receiver For A Week

In a sad, yet predictable development, Malcolm Kelly is injured again at Washington Redskins training camp. The fourth-year receiver, who has never been able to stay healthy and live up to the promise of being picked in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, has a foot injury and will likely miss a week of action.

Malcolm Kelly: Sore foot. X-rays were negative. Could be out almost a week. #Redskins

Kelly said doctors have told him he can't do much more than ride a bike and hope the injury heals. It's a tremendous setback for Kelly, who missed all of last season when Mike Shanahan elected to put him on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Kelly was healthy enough to return, but Shanahan ruled him out in training camp instead of using a roster spot on him. This latest injury therefore could spell the end of Kelly's Redskins career.
