Week 3 NFL Scores: New York Giants Face Philadelphia Eagles In NFC East Action

Two NFC East heavyweights square off in Philadelphia today with the New York Giants facing the Eagles. Will Michael Vick be able to return from a concussion last weekend?

Sept. 25, 2011- The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants rivalry dates back decades, and both teams need a win today. Eagles quarterback Michael VIck is the number question for Philly and New York fans. He is expected to start today. Vick is an electric playmaker with a dynamic skill set, there is noboy that can do the things Vick does. But after a concussion last week, will Vick be tentative against a ferocious Giants pass rush? Vick's elusiveness is a key part of his game, and if he is slowed this week it could spell doom for the Eagles.

FOX will air the game at 1p.m. with Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston and Tony Siragusa calling the action.

The Giants face plenty of injury issues as well. Since the preseason the team has lost starters and backups on both offense and defense, not to mention inconsistent play from quarterback Eli Manning. The running tandem of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs could be in line for a big day facing a Philadelphia front seven that gives up chunks of yards. In last week's loss to Atlanta, Falcon runningback Michael Turner gashed the Eagles defense for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Check back for more on this game throughout the day. The Eagles are favored to win by 8.5 points.
