After back-to-back losses, the Terps look to get back in the win column at Byrd Stadium on Saturday against the Towson Tigers. The Tigers are Maryland's lone FCS opponent on the schedule and could be just what the Terps need coming off the brutal home loss to Temple.
Towson is 3-0, equaling the win total of Coach Rob Ambrose's first two seasons at his alma mater. Ambrose was an assistant coach for Randy Edsall for seven years at Connecticut before leaving and trying to build up the program at Towson.
Suspended receivers Quintin McCree and Ronnie Tyler return for the Terps, who look to even their record before heading into the heart of conference play and their first road game against a ranked Georgia Tech squad. McCree and Tyler, as well the FCS opponent, should help quarterback Danny O'Brien get back in a groove after early season struggles. On defense, the depth chart was drastically changed this week after the Temple loss, with seven true freshman listed in the two-deep. The game will be broadcast on CSN and kickoff is set for 3:30.
