This right here is one of the scariest Indy Car crash videos you'll ever see. It took place in a warmup round Saturday prior to Sunday's Baltimore Grand Prix, and it stunned the announcers.
The video begins by placing a camera inside Helio Castroneves' car as he goes through the beginning of his warmup. At the 19-second mark, Tony Kanaan's car suddenly comes out of nowhere and flies over Castroneves' car, somehow avoiding a serious crash.
Kanaan then slammed into the boards, then was somehow able to swerve out of the way before hitting a track worker. Castroneves, meanwhile, was so stunned that he pulled over to the side and stopped.
Somehow, neither men were seriously injured. Castroneves was not hit, of course, but Kanaan did slam into the boards pretty hard. Luckily, though, Kanaan was able to get out of the car and walk away unscathed. That's a really good thing.
