Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson donned a white No. 74 jersey as he took the mound to throw out the first pitch to open the Washington Nationals' game against the Los Angeles Dodgers Thursday afternoon. Yet, if a hockey player throws a first pitch (a respectable one at that) and no one is in attendance to see it, did it happen? I bet John Wall wished he had a crowd like that for his first pitch.
