The Washington Wizards dug themselves an early hole in their game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night, finishing the first quarter trailing by a score of 33-23 at the Wells Fargo Center.
Nick Young led the Wizards in scoring with nine points of 4-8 shooting in the quarter. Trevor Booker and Chris Singleton each had four points. Only Rashard Lewis, who has two points, was able to scratch the scoresheet off the bench for Washington in the quarter.
Lou Williams was the big scorer for Philadelphia with eight points on 3-6 shooting. Jodie Meeks had a good quarter as well, finishing with seven points on 3-3 shooting in the first.
At present, the 76ers are shooting over 70 percent for the game, a big reason they're up by double digits early on.
