After one half at Wells Fargo Center, the Philadelphia 76ers lead the Washington Wizards 54-40. The Sixers 14-point lead at the intermission matches their largest of the half. Washington had a 12-8 lead, but that's about the only cushion they enjoyed against the streaking Sixers, who lead the Atlantic Division.
Jodie Meeks, getting another start tonight, was a perfect four for four from the floor and had 10 points for Philly. Lou Williams had 11 points off the bench, including a big three point play to finish the half and extend the lead back to 14. Nick Young had 11 points for the Wizards, who are again shooting poorly from the field, just 36.6 percent. The Sixers, meanwhile, are shooting better than 50 percent from the floor as they've managed to get out and run on the Wizards to score 18 points. Washington will have to step up their transition defense to get back into it in the second half.
