The Washington Capitals look to extend their six-game home winning streak with a Sunday evening matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Canes visit Verizon Center with the second worst record in the division, just one point ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Carolina could be getting a nice boost tonight with the addition of 2011 Calder Trophy winner Jeff Skinner, who was activated from injured reserve after missing 16 games with a concussion.
The Canes are also coming off an impressive win over the red hot Boston Bruins, and are looking for their third win in a row. Washington, meanwhile, is looking for a share of the Southeast Division lead with their seventh consecutive home win.
Game Date/Time: Sunday, January 15, 5:00 P.M. ET
Location: Verizon Center, Washington, DC
TV: CSN
Radio: WFED 1500AM
