All things considered, the Georgetown Hoyas are probably lucky to be down by just five points to Rutgers at home on Saturday afternoon. Georgetown shot a horrid 3-24 from the field in the first half and trail, 25-20, at the Verizon Center.
Really, it's been an all-around horrible shooting effort. The only three field goals came on a dunk by Hollis Thompson, a hook shot by Henry Sims and a jump shot by Otto Porter. Otherwise, the Hoyas have missed everything, with Jason Clark and Markel Starks not hitting a shot. The only reason this game is close is that the Hoyas have shot 14-18 from the free-throw line.
